I was born and raised in Appleton, WI. Through the years I have had a number of teachers that have stood out in my mind and have become definite role models in my life. I know that the Lord used these special people to lead me into his ministry. I attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church and School in Appleton for my grade school years, after which I attended Fox Valley Lutheran High School. As I said the Lord led me to study his Word at Dr. Martin Luther College and then at Martin Luther College. I married my wife Cindy in 2001. Cindy and I have been blessed with 2 daughters, Megan and Claire.
Professional
I graduated from Martin Luther College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education. In 1999 I received my first call here to First Lutheran. I began my ministry teaching grades 6,7, and 8. Through the years my teaching roles have varied, and I currently teach grades 7 and 8. I have seen First Lutheran make some wonderful strides in the past 9 years and this congregation certainly means a great deal to me. I pray that the Lord will continue to bless me as I strive to do my very best in his service.
